Meet the Rudi Monastery, one of the most interesting places to visit in Moldova

The national Inbound Tourism Association in Moldova, a partner of HERIPRENEURSHIP presents Rudi Monastery – a place worth to be visited by every tourist and nature lover.

The monastery is situated in the heart of the Rudi-Arionesti nature reserve, located in Rudi Village, Soroca. The main attraction in this area is the local monastery, one of the oldest in Moldova.

If you are attracted to ancient sightseeings, you can find here pre-historic remains, in a natural 100m long cave. Additionally, you can explore the exceptional nature reserve, which includes an ancient headland fortress, two ring-shaped fortresses (IX-XII century) called “Turkish Plate” and “Germanariu”, and a rural community rich in traditions and authenticity.

The monastery has preserved the traditional monks’ way of life throughout centuries. The “Holy Trinity” church built in 1777 is considered to be a representative example of the old Moldavian religious architecture. The church is situated on a beautiful natural setting, nearby the valley of the river Bulboana.
